7 Days from now
Okie in another 7 days, I am scheduled for a relocation with in the department, which means I am going to be shifted into another small hot and dingy room. I think my present seating location is the best so far. I have a wall (The Great Wall of China… as I like to call it) separating me from the world and I have a wonderful Roomie (Hussien) to talk and to irritate (well I do more irritating than talking). Hehe, he is this fair dude… who gets red spots on his forehead, every time he rests his head on his hands. And he does that often, hehe… he is really fun to look at. I am going to miss him the most *sad face*
However, there are a couple things that I won’t miss when I shift from this place…
- 35+ year old men removing their wedgies as they walk into another room, which I face when I am at my seat. I am normally hidden by my computer… so they really don’t know that I am jobless and I am observing them (Yes, I know I sound like a freak that has nothing better to do than to stare at people.)
- People lifting the upper flap of the photocopy machine so hard that the flap bangs into the partition-wall thereby creating what seems to be an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter Scale.
- Now when these people are at the photocopy machine… doing their business, and I happen to stand up and look over to the other side of the room, I see nothing but balding spots in my view… or mere hairy heads… either way, I end up devastatingly embarrassed… and quickly get back to my butt-numbing position.
- My Supervisor popping his head from above the partition and calling for me or my roomie. Either way, at that point he can clearly see what non-work related work (:P) I do the whole day
- Because of the Great Wall of China, that is difficult for me to know if any one is coming along to my side of the room. So, some times… when I am engrossed in what I am doing, and when some one comes along, I shriek and jump 5 meters from my chair. In the process probably scare the other person also.
Once I was taken aback when my Super came, he saw my face full of fight and my hand holding my chest and he was like “Oh did I scare you?” In my head I was like “No, Duh. I look like this always!” I just smiled.
Yea well… I guess nothing in life is forever. *senti look*
