10 Reasons Why Not to Join The Company

So I was reading an article the other day that was titled: “10 Reasons Why Not to Live in Dubai”. I need not explain what the article was all about since the title is self explanatory. I thought of translating the theme to The Company, thus my blog entry… Enjoy.

Oh… and Howdy :)

10 REASONS WHY NOT TO JOIN THE COMPANY

Reason 1: You find your self correcting other peoples English as opposed to learning anything regarding Engineering… so essentially you are a salient English Professor who is not allowed to teach.

Reason 2: You end up wondering how a country has so many accents. And you begin to doubt your own pronunciation on the basis of familiarity: You hear the same mis-pronounced thing over and over again you see… the next thing you know you are pronouncing the alphabet ‘z’ as ‘j’

Reason 3: You are held responsible for not knowing things that you never really knew existed. Apparently your assumed blessing of Telepathy can be a curse. For example, your integrity is questioned because you didn’t ask what a Pen was when you were learning about a PENcil.

Reason 4: You end up nauseous by the amount of a** kissing that happens everyday. How can people drop themselves to such a level?

Reason 5:
You actually being to wonder how people can be so full of themselves and yet not explode with the amount of envy they have for their own self!

Reason 6: You are required to treat everyone for every possible reason. You get a Licence… Treat, You bought a Car… treat… You shifted your home… Treat… You finger nail grew twice as fast as compared to last week… Treat… You bought new shoes… Treat.

Reason 7: There is more exchange of gossip as compared to exchange of technical information.

Reason 8:
Your efficiency and diligence is dependant on the number of weekends you work, as opposed to completion of minimum error work, time management and other things.

Reason 9: You are valued for how much gossip you can come up with and how many weekends you work in a month. If you work 7 weekends in a month and you have the scoope on every one in the department… you are THE MAN!

Reason 10: You will end up walking around with a mini calculator… calculating how much your next increment or Over Time will yield.

Aaaa, since we are on the topic of The Company, there is an additional reason… a hidden one…

Reason 11: You forget who you really are, by the mere thought of adjusting to the situation.

I don't know which is better, your Reason 6, or what we tend to do, which is:
Oh! He got a driving licence! C'mon! Let's beat him up!
He shifted! C'mon! Let's beat him up!
He woke up this morning! C'mon! Let's beat him up!
